She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Nichka and Alexandra Nichka (Sokoluk); and her sister Mary Nichka. She is survived by: her son Darren (Jennifer); her sister Helen; her nephews, John, Kevin (Marie-Therese), Brendon and Derek (Nadia); and her granddaughters, Chloe and Grace.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society.
