He was predeceased by: his parents, Myron Needles (Bud) and Ann Marie Needles; his brothers, Bill and Pat; and his father-in-law Dan Anderson.

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen (Anderson); his children, Craig Needles (Stacey), William Needles (Ashley), Meagan McGuckin (Mick) and Caroline Needles (Matt); his grandchildren, Charlotte and Peyton; and his parents-in-law, Mary Ann Dempsey (Bob), Beth Pulchinski (Les), Nano Needles (Jeff), Mike Needles (Anna), Diane Needles, George Needles (Sue), Bill Anderson (Gail), Esther Vander Hyden (Harold) and Daisy Anderson. He is also survived by his wife, children and grandchildren.
