He was predeceased by: his parents, Bay Young and Velva Young (Scobie). He is survived by: his siblings, Ralph (Nancy) and Mona MacKechnie (late Laurie); and his niece Donna Kennedy (MacKechnie).
In memory of Reid donations can be made to the Quyon Pastoral Charge, a church very dear to his heart.
