He was predeceased by: his parents, Rodolphe Gauthier and Mamie Dufault; and his siblings, Juliette, Jacqueline and Marcel.

He is survived by: his wife Francine Lépine; his children, Gina (Richard), Marc, Roxanne (Serge), Dawn and Chris (Amanda); his grandchildren, Shane, Owen, Bradly, Easton, Piper, Mason, Jayden, Felicity, Maxime, Emma and Reid; and his siblings, Yvette (Lawrence), Jeanne (Glen), Tony (Gaetanne) and Edgar (late Jeannine).
