He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Beattie and Georgiana McKelvey of Cowansville; his siblings, William, Frances (Porter Howard), Julia Eris and Wilma (Charles Atkinson); his former wife Madeleine Pelletier; his children, Charlotte (Peter Griffith), William (Tammy Sears) and Allison (Douglas Griffith); his wife Lois Bryson; his grandfather Jim; his grandchildren, Anne, Erin (Matthew Toth), Kyle (Marie-Pierre Bégin), Amber Griffith (Eamonn Waters), Alexander, Jessica, Kathleen Griffith, James and Holly Beattie (Cody Hamilton); his great grandchildren, Élizabeth, Liam and Olivia; and his stepdaughter Robin Bryson (late Cameron Mahy). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
