In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Maria had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Maria may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her husbands, Giacomo Schiavi and Luigi Leone; and her nephew Mario Simeone (Linda). She is survived by: her children, Carmina Schiavi (Carlos) and Peter Schiavi (Linda); her grandchildren, Carlos (Megan), Katrina and Giacomo (Daniela); her sister Immaculata; and her niece Stella Mariani (Agostino). She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great-grand nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St Monica's Parish (6405 Rue de Terrebonne, Montréal, QC H4B1A8).
