He was predeceased by: his wife Marie-Louise; his son Nicolas; his siblings, Martha (Hermann) and Fritz (Marie); and his siblings-in-law, Peter, Hans, Susi (Willi) and Veronica.
He is survived by: his sons, Paul (Irene) and Marcel (Mary Ann); and his sisters-in-law, Dora and Anita. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
