He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edwin William Smith and Nellie Thorpe; his wife Joyce Alice Stanton; his children, Brian Wayne Smith and Susan May Smith; his brother Eddie (Millie); and his children, Kenny (Doris), Glenn (Betty), Gary (Liz), Judy and Sharon (Mike). He was also cherished by his 17 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Care Fund at St. Mary's Hospital or La Maison de Soins Palliatifs de Laval.
