He was predeceased by: his child Frankie Sokoloff; his brother Elliot Sokoloff; and his brother-in-law Allen Wilner. He is survived by: his spouse Rhona Wilner; his daughters, Sheryl Schwartz, Bonnie (Jay Lefton) and Wendy Sokoloff (Douglas Wright); his stepchildren, Samuel Shpritser, Eve Shpritser and Jill Shpritser; his great grandchild Elie; his sibling Jerry (Marilyn Sokoloff); and his siblings-in-law, Anne and Barry Stein.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Paperman & Sons (3888 Rue Jean-Talon E, Montréal, QC H2A1Y7). A shiva was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Baron de Hirsch Cemetery (4900 Chem. de la Côte St Luc #908, Montréal, QC H3W2H3). A burial was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024.
