With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mortimer Besner (Montréal, Québec), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 12, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid Mortimer farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Mortimer is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Linda Liederman; his children, Gary Besner, Joel Besner (Diza Burnett) and Jamie Besner (Lan Vo); his brother Allan Besner; his sisters-in-law, Gisèle Bordeleau and Peggy Liederman; his niece Michelle; his nephew Alex Kirkwood; and also Rowan.

A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Paperman & Sons (3888 Rue Jean-Talon E, Montréal, QC H2A1Y7).
