He was predeceased by: his spouse Rae Ballin; his child Teddy; his siblings-in-law, Leonard Cohen and Adelle Schwartz; and also Jerry Greenberg.

He is survived by: his child William; his children-in-law, Georgia Cottrell and Rhonda Schoonover Jacobson; his grandchildren, Miriam Conner, Tom Conner, Rebekah Jacobson, Kyle Jacobson and Dylan Jacobson; his great grandchildren, Kaidence Conner, Harleigh-Rae Conner and Lennon Conner; his sibling-in-law Norma; his nieces and nephews, Linda Chodos, Sandra Yuck, Mitchell Cohen, Traci Vandervort, Jamie Taylor, Benjamin Greenberg, Alan Greenberg and Sheila Schleifer; and his son Jean-Talon St.
