He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerry Star and Fay Star; and his father-in-law Max Haines. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Haines; his children, Fayth, Jake and Carley; his siblings, Goldie (Morris Trager), Brenda Star and Ellen Star (Miro Turcaj); his siblings-in-law, Susan Haines, Maureen and Elliot Hudes; and his mother-in-law Marilyn. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews and their families, by his extended family.
