He was predeceased by: his wife Lillian Efros; his child Lynn Efros; his parents, Hyman Efros and Ada Efros; his parents-in-law, Phillip and Freda Rappaport; and his nephew Sheldon Rappaport.
He is survived by: his children, Howard (Jody Efros) and Farla Efros (Mike Muyal); his grandchildren, Dr. Joshua Efros, Matthew Efros, Arielle Asseraf and Arielle Muyal; and his nephews, Harold (Amanda Hersh), Elana Hersh, Dr. Jerrold Rappaport (Iris), Eric Rappaport (Linda), Ronnie (Joanne Lehrer) and Alissa Rappaport.
