He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Michelle Green; his daughters, Rachel Echenberg (Sébastien Worsnip) and Justine Sider (Alan Echenberg); his grandchildren, Zoë, Sol Worsnip, Isaac, Jonah and Sadie Sider-Echenberg; his sister Penny; his siblings-in-law, Gordon Echenberg, Phyllis, Morad Kimia, Miriam and Warren Cohen; his nieces and nephews, Andrew, Jessica Echenberg, Dyan, Rena Kimia, Rob and Marcie Cohen; his parents, Montreal University and McGill University; and his close friends, Siblin, Stein, Levine, Ernst and Young.
