He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Samson Commanda Dumont and Theresa Mercier; and his parents, Oscar Bourguignon and Georgina Bergeron. He is survived by: his wife Pauline Marie Therese; his friend Mary Jacko of Kitigan Zibi; his children, Suzanne (Carman), Bernard "Butch" (Donna), Pat (Jane), Jo-Ann (Lonny), Gary (Joan) and Raymond; his grandchildren, Brandon, Dwayne, Raven, Chase, Joshua, Kane, Julian, Jenna, Brett, Wyatt, Julianne, Jack and Lance; and his great grandchildren, Wade, Sophia, Myles, Elyana, Cyanah, Mackenzie, Livia, River, Everleigh, Oliver, Cale, Wesley, Silas, Skyla, Jasper, Dorothy and Knox.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Holy Rosary Church.
