She was predeceased by: her husband Odd E. Michaelsen (Mike); and her son Paul. She is survived by: her children, Erik (Jocelyne Gauthier), Jan (Janis Alexander), Joanne (Stephen Marble), Carole (Peter Grou) and Martin (Maria Pirroncello); her grandchildren, Leihla (Alexandre Collette), Henrik (Sarah Langevin), Björn (Julia Lombardi), Sonia (Jonathan Kruidbos), Phillip, Kristine (Austin Wood) and Alexandra (Clay Gilmer); and her great grandchildren, Emil, Sofia, Mila and James. She is also survived by many relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart and Stroke foundation of Canada will be appreciated to honor her memory.
