It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doreen Smith (Kirkland, Québec), who passed away on November 17, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by: her husband Frank Balkenende; her children, David (Laurel), Fred, Bill, Joanne (Marc), Brian (Laura), Mark (Natika) and Fiona (Rob); her grandchildren, Owen, Michelle, Tori, Malcolm, Naomi and Cole; and her great grandchild Levi.

In lieu of flowers, donations to West Island Palliative Care Residence would be appreciated by family.
