He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael and Ramzia; his siblings, Moufed, Samir and Mariam; and his brother-in-law Naufal.
He is survived by: his wife Lucie; his children, Daniel (Johanne) and Chantal; his granddaughters, Valérie, Stéphanie, Alexia and Natasha; his brothers, Fahad and Fouad (Salwa); and his sister-in-law Odette. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and cousins.
