He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Evangeline Doiron; his children, William MacWhirter Junior and Jo-Ann MacWhirter (Mick Kennedy); his grandchildren, Dylan and Jenna Kennedy; and his great grandchild Bridget. He was also cherished by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces.
