He was predeceased by: his parents, Herschel Takefman and Jean Takefman (Schwartz); his siblings, Steven Takefman (Joyce Nisker Takefman) and Anne Tooberman; and his parents-in-law, Jack Tooberman and Elsa Tooberman (Rusk).
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Takefman (Tooberman); his children, Bruce Takefman, Kimberly Takefman (Calafatis) and Pamela Takefman (Raphael Cormack); his siblings, Marilyn Takefman and Teddy Goloff (Stanley Backman); and his caregiver Aileen.
