He was predeceased by: his parents, Sterling Batley and Peggy Coates. He is survived by: his spouse Ilah Westgate Batley; his children, Tracy, Christine (Doug Grant) and Ginger (Michel Gagnon); his grandchildren, MacKenzie Hutchison, Gabrielle (Laurent Bourque) and Emily Gagnon; his great grandchild Léon Bourque; his sisters, Beverley (Don MacAulay), Carol (Lawrence Hodge) and Susan; and his sisters-in-law, Norma Gill and Linda MacLeod. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
