He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward "Ted" and Jean Van Bridger; his wife Janet Ballard; and his sister Beverley Van Bridger. He is survived by: his children, Shannon Van Bridger (Mark Carkner) of Mountain and Gregory (Sharon) of Morrisburg; his grandchildren, Brittany Carkner and Sarah Carkner; and his siblings, John (Marilynn) of New Hamburg, Karen McNicol (Don) of Kingston and Mary Meerakker (Willy) of Oak Valley.

Donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Dundas County Hospice would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
