He was predeceased by: his daughter Mary; his brothers, Lawrence, Arthur, Gordon, Donald, Manson and Everett; and his parents, John Hawley Thompson and Ethel May Wright.
He is survived by: his wife Ethel Clotilda; his children, Peter (Janet), David (Christina), Michael (Vania), Mark (Jessica), Janet (Steven) and Jennifer; and his brother Robert. He is also survived by his 26 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren.
