He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Blais and Richard Levesque; his wife Mary Ann; his siblings, Gerald and Lorraine; and his daughter Carol Ann.

He is survived by: his sisters, Florence, Dorothy and Patsy; his children, James Jr. (Eleanore), Joseph (Marlene) and Lisa (Carl); and his grandchildren, Isaac, Geri-Anne, Stacey and Mathew. He is also survived by many friends, nieces and nephews.
