He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Burris and Eunice Burris (Chappell); his granddaughter Charlie; and his partner Nadene. He is survived by: his children, Lee Burris (Barbara) of Sinclair Wyoming, Mary Alcaraz (Faustino) of Morris Illinois and Patricia Vega (Milo) of Worland Wyoming; and his grandchildren, Jacob Alcaraz (Kimberly), Robert Salinas (Angela), Vince Salinas (Shyanne), Faustino Alcaraz (Shanna), Natasha "My Tasha" Vega (Andrew), Emiliano Vega III and Liam Burris.
After a strenuous bout with Covid, he explained to family his experiences of near-death.
