He was predeceased by: his parents, C. Harvey Hanks and Ruth Hanks (Hayes); his siblings, Norman Hanks, Neil Hanks, Kenneth "Short" Hanks and Nancy Haggerty (Hanks); his son Terry Hanks; and his grandson Brevin Hanks.
He is survived by: his wife Faye Hanks (Bromley) of Wheatland; his son Torey (Julie); and his sister Marilyn Garrett (Rodger) of Wheatland. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
