He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Pleasant and Rose Irene Van Pelt (Waters); and his wife Mary Van Pelt. He is survived by: his children, Dianne Smith (Billy) of Clayton and Tim Van Pelt of Fairbanks, Alaska; his brother George Van Pelt of Banner County; and his grandchildren, Jenny Klein (Jared) of Jay Em, Josh Van Pelt (Barbie) of Jay Em and Cotton Smith of Pocatello, Idaho. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
