We are sad to announce that on August 9, 2019, at the age of 94, Charles Downey (Wheatland, Wyoming), born in Anselmo, Nebraska passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Charles Downey to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, Joseph Downey, Frances McCoy, Ruth Doherty, Louis Downey and Dale Downey; and his stepgrandson Michael S. Koenig.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Pauline Williamson; his daughters, Angela Koenig Wheatland (Michael), Colleen Posey Laramie (Tim), Mary Jo Currey Olympia and Erin Nuxoll Boise (Randy); and his grandchildren, Ryan Koenig, Brenda Riggs, Jill Boyd, La Grande, Cindy Matson, Andrew Currey, Los Angeles and James Downey. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Chuck Downey Memorial Rural Firefighter Training Scholarship Fund at the Wyoming State Fire Academy, 2500 Academy Court, Riverton, WY 82501, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
