He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Matthews and Doris Matthews (Baty). He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Matthews of Wheatland; his sons, John Matthews (Rhonda) of Wheatland and Brian Matthews (Valarie) of Wheatland; and his siblings, Darryl Matthews and Jerina Curran. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren.
