He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter J. Schlager and Ann E. Schlager (Dorn); his wife Mary; his son Daniel; his grandson Travis; and his brothers, Jerry and Stanley.
He is survived by: his children, Tim (Kerre), Kathy (Greg) and Steve (Michele); and his sister Rhonda Sanders (Lee). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that donations may be made in Walter's memory to the Disabled Veterans or a charity of your choice.
