He was predeceased by: his son Kevin Nab; his parents, Harold Nab and Helen Nab; and his parents-in-law, Herman and Rachel Hartung.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta Hartung; his daughters, Wendy Posten (Greg) and Denise Hill (Randy); his grandchildren, Christopher Hill (Miranda), Anthony Dominguez (Xena), Nathanial Dominguez, Heath Hill (Chaelee), Shali Courtney and Brett Posten; his great grandchildren, Jackson, Corbin Hill, Lincoln, Maveric Courtney, Xander Dominguez and Athena Dominguez; and his siblings, Rebecca Young (David) and Timothy Nab (Beverly).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the United Church of Christ in Lyman, Nebraska.
