He was predeceased by: his wife Jeanne Hamer (Huntington); his parents, William Hamer (Bill) and Georgia Hamer; and his daughter-in-law Lisa Hamer. He is survived by: his children, Michael Hamer and Kathryn Hamer-Smith; his son-in-law Walter Smith of Torrington; his grandchildren, Patrick Hamer of San Francisco, Andrew Hamer (Laura), Kathryn M. Hamer of San Jose and Elizabeth Hamer; and his great grandchildren, Maverick, Brady and Kianna Hamer of San Jose.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Torrington Volunteer Fire Department or the Torrington Ambulance Service.
