He was predeceased by: his brother Melvin; his parents-in-law, Jake and Ida Lou Kerns; and his siblings-in-law, Kathleen Weinkauf, Fred and Roy Kerns.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Kerns; his son CJ McCabe (Sarah) of Scottsbluff, NE; his grandsons, Austin, Cooper and Breyer; his sister-in-law Myrna McCabe of Gering, NE; his niece Myrna Dean Olivarez (Oscar) of Kerrville, TX; and his brother-in-law Dale Kerns (Jaci) of Lingle. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
