She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Nighswonger and Wanda Nighswonger (Craton); her husband Bob; and her son Thom Ward. She is survived by: her children, Robert Ward (Nina) of LaGrange, Wyoming, Jody Edwards (Cody) of Cheyenne, Judy Taylor (Frank) of Melbourne and Glenda Pickerel (Bill) of Meridan, Wyoming; her brother Dennis Nighswonger (Lori) of Overland, Kansas; and her grandchildren, Kelly Ward, Joseph Ward (Allison), Becky Kuhbacher (Damon), Jill Andersen (Shane), Melissa Lovett (Matt), Elizabeth Edwards, Amber Simpson (Dave), Chad Lowry (Amber), Brad Lowry (Emily), Robbie Edmunds (Heidi), Jake Edmunds (Megan) and Grant Edmunds (Tara). She is also survived by thirty-eight great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the LaGrange Fire and Rescue.
