With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen C. Lay (Torrington, Wyoming), born in Rapid City, South Dakota, who passed away on May 17, 2018 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Hirz and Margaret Hirz (Dunn); her husband Mike; her children, Kevin Lay and Kimberly Sue Lay; and her siblings, Wanna Howery, Carrie Hermann and Jim Hirz.
She is survived by: her children, Gene Lay (Linda) of Torrington, Lana Svoboda (Gary) of Lincoln, Lori Niemeyer (Ted) of Wonder Lake and Beth Ann Dieriex (Tim) of Hillsdale; and her siblings, Estella Lay of Oregon, Doris Martin of Willows, Ada Vaughn of Cheyenne, Ned Hirz of Moses Lake, Elsa Scalvini of Willows, Nancy Dawes of Susanville and Charlie Ralph Hirz of Moses Lake. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Senior Friendship Center or St Rose Catholic Church.
