He is survived by: his children, Duane Childs (Jane) of Glenville, Robert Childs (Bonnie) of Torrington, James Childs (Jackie) of Torrington, Gary Childs (Marilee) of Torrington, Steven Childs (Kathy) of Torrington, Julie Haught (Doug) of Torrington and Cindy Haught (David) of Spearfish. He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren, over 50 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
