She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Eichorn and Elizabeth Eichorn (Wienmaster); her husband Elmer Burkart; her son Dick; and her grandson Brett.
She is survived by: her sons, Ron (Kathy) of Torrington, Neil (Connie) of Windsor and Barry (Suzanne) of Cheyenne, Wyoming. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to First Congregational Church or the Torrington Senior Friendship Center.
