He is survived by: his sister Janet Blankenship; his daughters, Serra Simpson-Tharp (Randy) and Jessica Simpson-Cooper (John); his grandchildren, Miranda of Moundsville, WV., Marra Tharp of Moundsville, WV., Americus of Moundsville, WV. and Paige Cooper of Moundsville, WV.; his close friend Jack Mayfield; and his pet Miaka.
