He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmie Allen and Nellie Marietta (Melloir); and his granddaughter Mykenzie. He is survived by: his former wife Carolyn Jean Taylor; his wife Jo of Thermopolis; and his children, Scott Dowdy (Mellissa) of Avon, Jason Dowdy (Vickie) of Spearfish, Nicole Streeter (Justin) of Belle Fourche, Justin Hanson (Christina) of Waukesha and Dawn Hanson of Rapid City. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; one brother, two sisters and numerous extended family.
