He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilliard Chesteen and Mamie Chesteen (Green); his wife DonElla Hoffart; his siblings, Edmond Chesteen, Thomas Chesteen, Pressie Chesteen, Era Chesteen and Evelyn Stewart; and his stepson Tyler Spicer.
He is survived by: his children, Hilliard Edmond Chesteen III of Baton Rouge, LA, Diane O'Connor of Baton Rouge, LA, Denise Wranischar of Livingston, TX, Delisa Norrell of Colorado Springs, CO and Dana Cummings of Tulsa, OK; and his stepchildren, Brian Stice of Nevada, Hal Stice of Salem, Rick Stice of Mexico, Brenda Nelson of Thermopolis and Lynnae Seely of Powell, WY. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
