He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin H Cole (Happy) and Ida A Nelson; and his siblings, Harold Cole, Rowene St Clair and Maxine Smith (Mickey).

He is survived by: his wife Donna G Cole; his daughters, Nannette Steadman (Jay) and Gwendolyn Treese (Reggie); and his grandchildren, Derek Scott (Amber), Sammantha Witt (Richard), Adrian White (Brandon), Scott Treese (Megan), Amanda Nebeker (Keenan), Ashley James (Caleb) and JD Steadman (Shannon).
