He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Vernon and Mary Inez Cheeney (Terrell); his wife Shirley; and his siblings, Don Cheeney and Freda Skrettingland.
He is survived by: his sons, Clayton and Clinton; his close friend Mary Roddy; his daughters, Janet Collen (Ted) of Ten Sleep and Carmen Collen (Ron) of Buffalo; and his siblings, Everett Cheeney, Jr. (Rosemary) of Hanford, Richard Cheeney (Carol) of Sheridan, Wyoming and Shirley Lapp (Shirley Irene Francis) of Worland. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
