He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Hein and Elsie Hein; his daughter Dershie Hein; and his brother-in-law Robert Ernst. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Hein; his daughter Deanna Misulich (Steve); his grandchildren, Jessica (Zack), Tyanna, Jacquelyn (Pete), Kallie, William, Jerred, Jenna, Zaffary (Donald) and Zaneisha; his great grandchildren, Jayden, Jorden, Addie, Brayven, Vince, Lily, Shylynn, Lynnsey, ZeDrik and Zaxen; and his siblings, Linda Ernst and Ed Hein. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
