He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Delbert and Glenna Boyes Roberts. He is survived by: his wife Cordelia Sohn (DeDee); and his children, Melanie (Alan Weinand), Craig (Jessica Moyes), Shannon (Michael Wright) and Megan (Preston Dahlgren). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and four sisters.

“Dear Deedee and Family; On behalf of Dave and myself we want to send our deepest sympathies regarding Mike’s passing. I specifically remember Mike as a person who had a genuine love for his family, for his church, for his school and for the wonderful children he worked with every day in the library. He was priceless. And from Dave, he said he remembers Mr. Roberts as a great coach and the father of one of his best friends. Dave lives in SLC. Sincerely Don Jeanroy in Oregon”
