He was predeceased by: his wife Mick; his parents, Carmella Mediate, and Frank A. Mediate, Sr.; his parents-in-law, William B. and Eva Shosten; his brother Vincenzo "Jim" Mediate (Agnes); and his brother-in-law William D. Shosten (Maxine).
He is survived by: his daughters, Cheryle K. Amick (Mervin) and Carol L. Grandahl (Jerry); his grandchildren, Charlie Ruff (Tenielle), Christy Mediate, Megan Schmelzer (Keith) and Jerry "Bo" Grandahl, Jr. (Elizabeth); his great grandchildren, Lillian Kukuchka, Cole Kukuchka and Ruby Grandahl; his extended family Connie Krezelok (John); and also Rebecca Ericksen (John).
