He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Butch" Boyd Soltis Sr. and Hannah Harney; his former wife Joan Ilene "Joni" Mehle (Lori Cremation); and his wife Lorraine "Lori" Janet Greenough. He is survived by: his children, William "BJ" Boyd Soltis III (Kellie) of Rock Springs, Derek James Soltis (Ace) of Casper, Douglas John Durbin of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Kristie Michelle Nopens of Rock Springs and Kim Jenor Bender (Jason) of Mandan. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
