He was predeceased by: his children, Virginia Mondragon and Vincent Mondragon; and his siblings, Leo Mondragon, Tom Mondragon, Fay Mondragon, Mary Sanchez and Helen Martinez.
He is survived by: his parents, Bonificio Mondragon and Lupita Sandoval Mondragon; his spouse Mary Ernestina Sanchez; his children, Joe B. Mondragon of Aurora, Larry H. Mondragon of Rock Springs, David A. Mondragon of Rock Springs, Steve L. Mondragon of Rock Springs, Juanita L. Ober of Tulia and Veronica; his brother Fred Mondragon of Denver; and his grandchildren, Ricky Mondragon, Randy Mondragon, Tomas Mondragon, Marc Mondragon, Lee Mondragon, Crystal Cook, Jennifer Beardsley, Marsha Oliver, Katherine Dawson Robin Holland and Sara Martin. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, several cousins, nephews and nieces.
