He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Jennings Melvin and Gracie Jane Melvin (Burrow); and his brother Robert Melvin. He is survived by: his cousins, MaryLynn Williams, Doris Tyler and Donna Breckinridge; his niece Janet Melvin; and his nephew Scott Melvin (Cindy).
