He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Emmett Goffinet and Bulah Lee Allen Goffinet; and his spouse Kathy Jean Shaw. He is survived by: his daughter Tonlea Byerly of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Sebastian Byerly and Brittney Hooper; and his great grandchild Aiden Hooper.
