He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Wirtz and DeLoris Bonaime; and his siblings, Lester and Ann. He is survived by: his former wife Gloria Kay McMillan; his children, Danny Wirtz of Cavalier, Christopher Wirtz of Cavalier, Andrea Melling of West Fargo, Diana Matzke (Dan) of West Fargo and Amy Carignan of Walhalla; and his sisters, Sylvia Kalis of Walhalla and Jeanette Phelps (Mike) of Cheyenne. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
